Our MR solution for on-line transformer drying significantly extends the transformer’s life expectancy by accurately measuring and removing moisture from the paper insulation using Velcon Superdri Technology.

Our MMS unit, designed for full remote supervision and control, filters out particles down to one micron while the transformer remains energised and in service. Whether you opt for permanent installation or our mobile unit for periodic drying, TMW ensures optimal transformer performance and longevity, with data available for monitoring oil moisture and temperature.

Moisture Management Systems (MMS)

TMW offers an MR solution for on-line transformer drying, which significantly extends the transformer life expectancy.

The MMS unit is designed to accurately measure moisture in the paper insulation and to remove it through a gentle filtering process using Velcon Superdri Technology, while the transformer remains energised and in full service.

This process also filters out particles down to a size of one micron, all with full remote supervision and control.

TMW provides permanent installation of the MMS unit to your transformer, or alternatively our mobile unit could be brought to your substation when required.

Permanent installation

Permanently installed on a transformer (side mounted or on a seperate platform)
Stainless steel piping to and from the transformer
Maintains the paper moisture at a constant, optimum level
When installed on a new transformer, ensures a maximum lifetime by maintaining the factory moisture level
Oil moisture and temperature: Data available for monitoring purposes

Mobile Unit

Unit is installed on a mobile rig such as a trailer, for periodic drying of a fleet of transformers

Incroporated vacuum pump for on-line energised installation, if deenergisation is required for safety reasons, installation can typically be carried out in less than 4 hours

Double pipe system with protection switch: Collects and directs any leak to the cabinet tray
